Sarah Hamilton – Director at Texas A&M
Hi everyone! My name is Sarah. I’m excited for you to be involved in engineering camp this summer. It is a joy and privilege to be your camp director and I am so excited for our adventures and learning time together! I’m sure you might be curious about me, so let me try to introduce myself further.
I have a bachelor’s degree in youth development and Camp Management. I believe camp to be a very important growth experience. I will do my best to make that true for everyone at camp this summer! I also have studied environmental science and business. I am not an expert in engineering, but I am very excited about it. One of my best friends is an inventor and creating new things to solve problems is a fun and valuable learning experience.
For fun I really enjoy travel adventures, and the outdoors. What is interesting about me, and what I’ve spent a lot of time on in recent years is training circus skills. No, I don’t perform in a circus. However, I do train partner acrobatics, handstands, and static trapeze with circus teachers who do perform locally in Boston. I am so excited for this adventure we will have together this summer, and please don’t ever hesitate to reach out to me with summer engineering camps questions, comments, or concerns.
Dagoberto Melero – Engineering Instructor at Texas A&M
Dagoberto is currently a computer science teacher. He also has been the FTC Robotics coach at HSA Laredo for the last two years. He mentor’s students interested in careers in computer science and engineering and he has his bachelor’s in systems engineering from Texas A&M. He is fluent in C++, Java, Bluejay, Arena, MathLab, Python, Arduino, Android Studio computer languages and is always looking to learn new skills to further improve.
Tami Carson – Camp Nurse at Texas A&M

She has also been a summer camp nurse and registered nurse who worked for Trinity Medical Center in Carrollton Texas and many other medical centers since 1990.
